Hey folks! After a hiatus lasting most of my pregnancy and into the first few months of baby June’s life, regularly scheduled blog posts are back! While my pregnancy wasn’t horrible, I had a major case of the sleepies so I didn’t do much besides work, talk to hubby, eat, sleep, and sleep some more. That left this little blog on the back burner largely forgotten. Now that the hardcore newborn months are over I am finally ready to talk books, crafts, food, and more! So, let’s start off with a monthly menu plan for May.
These menu plans help me stay organized for weekly grocery shopping trips but aren’t strictly followed. We usually have every meal listed but the order in which we eat them varies by mood, produce availability, etc. Feel free to copy or use as a starting point for your own meal plan.
This month is grill-only because that’s how we celebrate warm weather in this household! Plus, I’m still trying to shed all of my baby weight (ugh!) and grilling is always a healthy option. Also, we might be having some remodeling work done in our main living area (more details to come in future posts) so I figured it’s best to limit kitchen time.
Most of the recipes are from online sources (thank you Pinterest!) which I will link to below. A few recipes are from this fantastic book Latin Grilling by Lourdes Castro. So, without further ado, here is May’s grill-tastic menu:
