Now that baby June is taking regular naps, I’m trying to get a cleaning schedule going to prevent the house from falling apart around me. I mean, this is the time of year to get your house organized and maybe even do a deep clean, right? I have a very ambitious cleaning schedule and while I attempt to do all of these chores I am rarely successful at completing them all – stupid never-ending dishes and laundry! Also, June’s not too keen on watching me clean or occupying herself for long stretches of time. Anyways, I prettied up my list and made a printable in case anyone wants to be ambitious with me. I always do better with a printed out schedule to keep me motivated and I thought that might be true for others too!
Phew! I’m tired just looking at all of those chores. As you can see, there are one or two daily tasks to complete and then a weekly focus (for the chores that only need addressed once a month). I try to at least do one of the chores from the weekly list each day (although they usually don’t get tackled until the weekend). I will add an addendum that if you have dogs like me, you’ll also need to vacuum on the weekend – darn pet hair will turn into tumbleweeds otherwise!
As a new stay-at-home-mom I’m trying to stay productive and I’m hoping this little list will help. Did I miss anything in my list? Next up in the cleaning category, I’m going to test out some Pinterest cleaning tips and let you know which ones actually work (I mean, is vinegar really the cure-all Pinterest pins claim??).
